orange boost boosting slightly?

I built the orange treble and bass booster found here: http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album18/orange_tb_boost
I converted the circuit to NPN and used an OC140 germ.
The effect is working, and the blend control works perfectly its just Im not getting that much boost.  There is a little boost (more like a bit of clarity) but hardly that much as something like my colorsound overdriver.  Is this the way its supposed to be? or am I doin somethin wrong?  Here are the voltages:

well, I have played around with it a bit and finnally here the boost.  Its still not nearly as much, but then again, I was comparing it to a colorsound overdriver.  This thing more defines my tone and just boosts it.  I am starting to like it
