I just finished the amz super buffer. Left out R5 but I am having a sort of volume loss it seems. I am using TL072CP and 2M ohm as R6 and R7. Using active strat  pickups and its my first build. Works but sounds kinda weak and bypassing it the pickups are hotter.  I am using the AMZ schematic at www.muzique.com/lab/superbuff.htm

any ideas?

Thanks.

1) Are the op-amps grounded?  Do they have power supplied to the correct pins?

2) Are you sure that all inverting and noninverting input pins are correctly identified?

3) Positive there are no shorts anywhere?

Thanks a lot.. I checked it out and found the prob.

I made a stupid mistake. I wired the input to only one opamp lead. After joining all 4 it brought up the volume and stopped sounding like weak crap. perf board is such a pain to troubleshoot and thankfully it was a easy fix. I stuffed it in a spacious behringer vintage phase box as a series and bypass effect along with the phaser. Sounds very nice.

Thanks again,
Matt

Sometimes I think the only way to work with perfboard is to have a digicam at your side and take pictures of front and back every 5 minutes, just so you don't lose track.
