George Dennis Wah Switch+

I've got my grubby little hands on a George Dennis Wah - Switch + model. I've had a little bit of a look inside and I think I understand how the LDR works  My question is about a trimmer I found in here. Anyone know what it does? Also wondering whether it's possible to T/B this wah. I've been asked to replace the switch (hi/low) as it's broken. Now this is no hassle, but I was wondering whether it could be replaced with a stomp switch
