After finishing the English Channel yesterday, then looking at the May Queen 2, it was rather fitting that I found out about this earlier today:

It doesn't ship until July, but it's the only Digitech modeling pedal that I'm interested in (had a mild interest in the Hendrix one, but not enough to cough up $200).
I hope it has a variety of high gain and harmonized sounds going for it. Thinking about going ahead and ordering one.

Ugh, another one of those... I'm not too fond of those artist-in-a-box gadgets. You could build a wah and a treble booster to go with your English Channel... While you won't get a sound with digital precision, you'll at least have versatility. I mean, come on, DIY was invented so mankind wouldn't have to buy such things.

But to not make my post all negative and not totally dismiss your idea, I'd say that it sure could be a fun thing to play with. It's more of an expensive toy than anything else.

If you want to go digital, there are alot more proffessional modellers for that price out there.

Sorry to strike in with such a negative post. :)

That's ok, Jim. It's America, you're entitled to your opinion.  ;D
All I'm saying is that it intrigues me. I doubt I'll buy it, simply because for what it costs, I could buy a ton of parts, put a down payment on another guitar or get the Duncan Twin Tube that I REALLY want.
It was just a thought. I'm sure with the May Queen and John Hollis' Ultra Flanger I could get pretty much what I want to play with.

Wasn't Eddie Kramer Mr Hendix's engineer/mixing dude? Or am I mistaken?

What I will say in favor of this pedal is that May is known for being hands on with stuff that bears his name, so I bet he'll make sure that this pedal does a pretty good job.

IIRC, he uses some of the available Red Special replicas as backups. :icon_eek:
