Boss BD-2 Blues Driver problem

The first thing that went wrong was the LED stopped working- then the pedal stopped working aweek later. Any suggestions as to some common failure points that I can check?  It's a stock pedal. Thanx

Here's an idea I can offer but,
Keep in mind that the closest I've ever been to one was that I ebayed one that I found at a tag sale last summer.....
could be yours!!
But, maybe there is an issue somewhere in that fancy switching circuitry they use.
Maybe just check some of those connections first.
this is as far as I can go with this.

The switching works perfectly. The pedal seems to be fine when you first plug it in, then slowly the overdrive mode gets weeker - takes a few minutes to fizzle completely-

Bump in good faith that there has to be someone amongst all of you that might have some ideas here.

This means you have to go and sell it at the pawn shop.

Possibly a dodgy cap?

If the LED goes, well maybe check power circuit?

You can always use a probe/oscilloscope/DMM, etc See 'What to do when it doens't Work' thread for some cool ideas.
