As many of you know, maybe,
I am trying my damndest to pick up on reading schematics.
I need to clarify something please.
In the following,

The CW does mean clockwise???
I labeled what I thought should be the correct lugs to connect.....was I correct?
Also, this is set up as a variable resistor right?
Lastly, The round dot with the arrow connecting lugs 1 and 2 is what makes the pot a variable resistor
and am I correct in assuming that lug 1 and 2 are jumpered?

Please bear with me on this as I think I'm on the brink of understanding some of this madness!!

If it's a linear pot, swapping lugs 1 and 3 will Only reverse the rotation/effect [CW becomes CCW for rollling gain up].
Yes this is a Variable/Resistor [pot].
  1 and 2 are jumpered.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Oh, So MANY many thank yous!!!
See, I'm starting to understand this "language" of electronics!
I just needed someone to tell me I was on the right track with this.
Thanks again Pete,
