isolating oscillator noise...CE-2 Clone

I recently built a CE-2 clone, using the schematic from Tonepad.com http://www.tonepad.com/project.asp?id=53.  It sounds great, but I do have one problem that I can't seem to figure out.  When my pedal is on, there is some clicking noise caused by the oscillator (IC2 in the schematic), not such a big deal...but when I have the pedal off this clicking noise actually becomes louder and is outputted into my amp.  I have a true bypass switch installed, even when the input/output of the circuit are grounded or opened they clicking is still there.  I'm pretty sure it's the oscillator outputting into the ground path, but I'm not sure how I can remedy this.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

If you've used a tried and tested layout (sorry, I didn't check out the link), then try screened cable for your audio line.

Apparently it is a verfied layout, and my pcb seems to look fine after checking and rechecking.  Thanks, I'll see about using screened cable, it's definitely worth a shot.    Any other suggestions???

As a rule of thumb, keep wiring connected to LFO's pots short and well away from audio wiring.

Try it first (may be all that's needed).

PS  Keep unscreened audio wires away from the area of your PCB where the LFO resides.

shortening the wires seems to have helped quite a bit.  It'll be enough till I buy some shielded cable, which will hopefully eliminate the rest of the noise.
