Hey there.

Just finished the Rebote 2.5 delay from tonepad. And it worked right away!

However, it's quite noisy. Not as in distorted, but it has this annoying background hiss when its on. Obviously it's because of my choice of components and not Fp's design (which is great by the way. Thx Fp). I have used Panasonic ECQ-B caps for everything except the 1uF and 47uF electrolytics. For resistors I have used metal film, except for 2 or 3 which are carbon film.

Which parts should I look into changing to reduce the noise? And change them to what? I have some WIMA caps that I was going to use, but the fit wasn't good. Should I change to those?

I personally don't think it's a cap issue as much as perhaps
some bad solder joints, or a wiring mishap.
I have read somewhere in a search I did of this site ( :icon_exclaim:)
that if an IC isn't properly seated into it's socket, hiss can occur.
I'd double check these few things real close first and then if the
hiss persists, look at other things.
It's probably a very simple oversight, we're all guilty of that now & then.
