Hi,

I've gone through the archives for offboard wiring and tried to figure it out...  3PDT stomp switches still get me flustered.  I was just going to put this together and see what happens but something still tells me it's way off.

I'm putting together a vanishing point with one sequencer board, one wah board, and one switch for selecting the number of steps in the sequence.  Also when the stomp is is turned off the count holds at one until it is kicked on again.

I've got (if this'll line up):

     step               in tip               wah out
    switch

     reset            wah in               out tip
      pin

       V+             (nothing)             in tip

Yeah, this can't be right.  I got the first pole from an archived post and it's right.

  Any help greatly appreciated.

Just from a quick look it looks like you got it right except the "nothing" pole should go to ground to ground the input of the wah when bypassed.

Test each section separately before bringing it all together. Good luck.

Good stuff.  Thanks once again for the quick reply Andrew.  I think I read in a previous post something about you being Canadian.. if that's correct and you're anywhere near the prairies I definitely owe you a beer or twelve!

I've been testing this as it's been going.  I made a LED/Trimpot board first with the necessary wires.  Then I made the wah board.  This last week I breadboarded the sequencer part and tried out a couple things as I went.  I brought the combination to soundcheck with me this last weekend so I could hear it all "at volume" to see if I was getting any clock noise.  It was all good.  I had three people come up to see what I was running!

These last two days I've been chipping away at the enclosure.  Argg.  Lots of lessons learned on this one for the next time.  Now I'll go solder up this switch and try and put it all together.  Maybe I'll throw up some pics and clips if anyone's interested.

Your welcome. :) My name is Andrew and I am Canadian! :::cue music:::. I bounce between Toronto and the burbs there abouts. How about after your done you post a build report and you can have my beer since it will be awhile before I can get to it and it'll get warm ? ;)

Good that you doing this in stages as opposed to building it all in one shot as that would make debugging difficult. Let me know if you need anything else.

Oh which version are you building ? v2.1 ?
