I bought a cheap Voice Changer and it does not have any chips that I can see on the board, but the board is covered with hot glue so I can't see much at all.  I can tell that there is no common pin-out for a 16, 18, or even an 8 pin style chip or IC...that's for sure.

It works.  It is a 9V DC unit and has an 8ohm speaker with a small condenser mic. It is a SmartLab Voice Changer.

I want to set it up for guitar and my SM58 mic.

Of course it does not work by just simply wiring in an input and output jacks.

If I yell into my SM58 I can get a slight sound out of my amp.

I found a circuit that is basically the same thing as the DH pitch shifter from GGG and also has an 8ohm speaker, small condenser mic.

I'm guessing that my input and output impedance is about the same as the above circuit.

Here is the DH from GGG

My questions are;

Would using the same input resistor/cap for the input and output buffers from the DH at GGG get me in the ballpark for guitar setup?

And what would put me close for my input buffer for the SM58?

Thanks in advance,

KMS
