Hi!. I've built the mc meat. it's working but i find some issues i don't like comparing with the original mutron III. First is the gain. I have to raise the feddback resistor to 2m7 to get decent envelope results, but i think i need a little more for low output pickups or bass (jbass). How can i raise the gain?. higher resistor in env?. or maybe higher sens pot?. As it's now, i have to pick the strings a little hard to get good env in the down position. Also...when i use the mix pot, it seems to be out of phase in the lp position. After analizing the circuit this maybe true. Can someone help me check?. In hp, and mix pot in the middle, the bass is restored, but in lp, the sound is thin, as if it were out of phase. Thanks a lot for your help.

that´s right, swt, in lp mode, the mix signal is out of phase.
it´s inherent in the design. markusw modded his mcmeat to be able to invert phase.
it doesn´t bother me that much because lp is really bass heavy anyway, and the mixed sounds come across better imho with the more radical sound of bp (or even hbp) when mixed, for instance w/slap bass lines.
as for the gain, i wonder...i was able to get good results with everything from really weak passive cheapo git pu´s (ibanez artcore) to full-on active jazz bass. the knobs on the mcmeat are very interactive...
which optos did you go for ?

i can't get any optos in here. I made them with ldrs and leds. But the problem is the leds section. I think i'll need to raise the gain...any clues?
