HI!!!!
just finished the great pt-80 from great GGG and i'm very satisfied .....
now i 'd like to add the moosapotamus send/return loop mod but can't find a wiring layout including wires on the switch and the right places on the board....
can you please help me with a simple draw
THANK U GUYZ

all the info should be in the pic from charlie's website. the connection going to the sa570 is pin 11 IIRC. I had to add DC blocking caps (i used 10uf) on the output/input of the opamp sections to prevent popping when switching effects in the loop in/out :) :) :)

It's been a while but, in the drawing I did (above, in idiot savant's post), everything except the send/return jacks and the switch are existing on the stock PCB circuit. IIRC, you might have to cut at least one trace.

If you need more info, try posting your own simple drawing of how you think it should go. I'm sure folks will be happy to offer suggestions and help you make any corrections (if necessary) to help you get it right. You'll learn a lot from doing your own drawings and get a better understanding of what you're building, too. 8)

ok i'm trying to draw something but wich is the track i've to cut on the pcb??? it's all a little to close on my pcb so it's easy to make big mistakes....................
thans a lot

makkimo

sigh sigh.........
tried  :'( all possible wirings ......... hem maybe not all possible....nothing..........
hey really no one out there who solved the problem for him/herself????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my pt-80 is laying sadly on the splitting table waiting for you .......... or just for a  :icon_idea: coming out of my head :icon_wink:

here you go, hope this helps. make sure you use the right kind of jacks. one has to be a switched jack. you shouldn't have to cut any traces, but you'll have to have 1 resistor (pink)and 1 cap(blue) hanging. the wires are run from the hanging end. you can use the freed up hole in the pcb from the hanging resistor for the third wire(green) you need. the extra hole by the cap is unused then.

the pic is pretty sloppy, just whipped it up in MS Paint in about 5 mins.

moosapotamus

Yup, that should do it. 8)
The jack on the left is Send and the jack on the right is Return.
And, right... no circuit traces should be harmed as a result of this mod. :D

Good luck!
