For years I have struggled with correctly expressing my wha to my music.

At one time I decided I would never get the hang of it.

Over the years I managed to make some riffs sound OK with my wha but it took so much of my concentration, that if the music was very complex then I just had to do without my wha.

Today I inverted the wires to the pot on my wha (leaving the wiper where it was).

I don't know why I never thought of this before.

Now I can express my wha like magic....any song...every song.....(so far today) is like a whole new world of wha....and it comes naturally to me.....I don't even consciously think of what I'm doing.....it just sounds fantastic.

So the heel is now treble and the toe is now bass.

Incredible! :icon_biggrin:

Just a matter of getting used to it...but  I guess you have already since it seems much more effortless.
Tapping you foot forward is more logical but maybe the muscle movement is easier while standing up with your foot on the wah pedal...

COOL!

good idea!  your right though, standing up (for me) its easier going "down" with the toe, but sitting down its more natural to tap your heal to the beat/rhythm

Well the sitting down point you made....that hits home with me even though I stand with the guitar now.

I played the violin for years in an orchestra and practiced like a demon to hold my chair. 1st chair 1st fiddle.  And if what your saying is true (and I think it is) then I have spent the majority of my time tapping my heel.

So my habitual tap is with the my heal for the beginning of each beat......I guess. I had never consider this before but it sue feels right wired backwards whether I'm sitting or standing. :icon_biggrin:

It depends on what you play I suppose.

I once was told I was playing  the tambourine wrong in a Blues Jam. I was keeping the wrong strong beat for the Blues, but the correct one for the Rock. So I was rocking the Blues.

I wonder about how it would translate to the Wah???

Blues/Rock.....sounds OK to me.   This would be a 12 bar right pattern...right?  I don't think it makes a difference but I'm not real up on tambourine riffs.

What is interesting to me here is that with a change of stompbox wiring I overcame a physical problem I had with keeping the beat on the Cry Baby.

The musical things that can be done with electronics is truly amazing.  If I had not become so involved with stompbox building I would have never thought of this, and even if I had thought of it I would not have been able to know that inverting the wires on the pot would invert the function of the wah.
