Hi everybody,

Do any of you by any chance know how I can mod a Boss DS1 for bass guitar?

The guy who plays bass in my band wants to try to mod a DS1 but we donĀ“t really know where to start.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

Paul

Enlarge the input / output caps? Why a DS-1? I tried it once on my bass (also modded) and hated it!

To me this is an excellent application for adding a cap between the clipping diodes and ground.  Try .022uf - .22uf.  This will encourage the low order harmonics to clip less (for a solid bottom) and the high order ones to clip more (for more distorion).    :icon_cool:

I think I'd do these changes:
c8: 4.7uf or 10uf
c3: .1uf
