Questions about putting together various circuits

Hi everyone, I´m putting together a parametric EQ pedal, this is what I have so far, made from various circuits found on the net, and with the help of R.G., Transmogrifox, seljer, and toneman (thanks!). My questions are (referred to the numbers in green, the parts/highlights in blue are my additions/mods):

1: I use a diode for reverse voltage protection in my builds, but I don´t know if it is necessary/advisable with a voltage inverter like the one shown... would this work at all / be useless, burn the circuit, or it´s not neccesary here?
2: In Geofex, the caps C1 and C2 are shown as 10uF, but in the GGG pages about this polarity reverser circuit they are shown as 47uF. Why? does it matter wich value I use?
3: Following advice from the above mentioned people, I put these caps, I think they are for power filtering. But the polarity reverser circuit already has a cap from -9v to ground (C2). Will it work as drawn? or should I remove any of the caps? Or change values? Or...?
4: Do I need all the pulldown resistors, or just the ones before the adjusticator 1 input and before the adjusticator 2 output? (all the caps shown are part of the circuits)?
By the way, the adjusticators are inverting op-amp buffers/boosters, circuit found on Geofex.

just throwing out some stuff.....
looks like not much diff with 10mfd vs 47mfd 
*usually* bigger is better, but 10mfd would probably be OK.
I usually add .1mfd in parallel with the electros for spikey suppression.

U have drawn .1mfd , 100mfd  & 10mfd coupling caps.
I usually just use 2.2mfds.   Good enough for all freqs including bass.
For pulldown Rs, I usually use 1Megs.
U only need one pulldown R per input/output.
Remember 2 1Megs in parallel is 500Kohms.
All I can see for now.......

Those coupling (I wonder what that means? ) caps drawn are in the original schems, I didn´t modify them. Do I need the input /output ones only?

Paul, yes, I used stuff from Geofex, but I had to draw my add ons/mods to it to explain my question, so how could I do it without using parts of Geofex files?
I don´t want to misuse anyone´s materials, especially someone as great as R.G. Should I delete the file?
