BSIAB II Transistor

I been a long time lurker here and i succesfully build a tube screamer and CE-2 clone.
I want to build the BSIAB II. I'm just wondering if i could replace the 2n5457 and J201
with 2SK30A because i have a bunch of it and i can't find the other two mentioned
above in my place.

I built an Eighteen from www.runoffgroove.com with 3 2sk30A and It has less gain than the sound samples. I want to build a BSIAB II too. I guess I will try 2sk105.

I finished my BSIAB with 2sk105 jfets and non polar caps, and it sound's like an overdrive a really low gain overdrive.. I'm disapointed    ... I'll try another jfets...

I made a Big mistake, I change to the right jfets and it had the same overdrive sound, a little more gain, then I noticed that one cap was incorrectly soldered.
so I guess with 2sk30a... it probably work fine, not too much gained as with the right fets but it will distort nice.
