Does any one know where to get reverse audio pots with a knurled shaft? The ones at small bear look like they have a smooth shaft, and I can't find any reverse at mouser at all. thanks

Don't think I've ever seen one of them there critters with a knurled shaft  ???

I have some "knurled" dual 100KC pots off a mixer, they are about 10-12 years old and have "JP" stamped
on them .... dont know if that helps, they are from a "Studiomaster" mixing desk.

Oh well I guess I'll be using different knobs then. thanks

Have you considered tapering a linear pot to reverse log?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I skimmed through the first half of it about 2 months ago and forgot about it. I'll read the whole thing now. Your site is like a textbook, its full of lots of great information but I can only handle it in small doses, I start zoning out while reading textbook type material.

Does anybody know the part # for mouser reverse log pots? (preferably screwdriver shaft) Or, what would be the correct resistor value to make a 500k linear pot reverse log....all the math in the article was a bit beyond me.
Thanks---

mouser doesn't carry reverse pots.

I saw something on geofex about disassembling a pot, and removing the resistance element so it could be replaced.
Has anyone tried taking a log pot apart and actually flipping the element, to create a reverse log pot?
I think I might just try that now.

NICE
I just tried it, but the wafer seemed to 'be one with' the leads, so I dont think I could remove it. I only tried a single-gang tho.
What brand did you use?

The one I opened the wafer was connected to the wiper. the only way to seperate them would ruin the pot. mine was an alpha 24mm pannel mount.
