Swaping OP AMPs in an Amp?

hey guys. Im repairing my carvin x100b, and while im inside, i notice the op amps are the 4558's.

Has anyone swapped these out with different ones? im just looking to alter my tone a bit for fun.

I did that in my Marshall recently, socketed the TL072's and tried Burr Browns, NE5532, LF353..................guess what? after some hours, my ears decided that the best sounding ones were.....the stock TL072. There are many variables other than sound quality why engineers use a particular IC.
