Hey,I recently built the EPFM Phase shifter from the GGG site. I cant seem to get it to work. Does the new layout I used have errors. It was converted to 4558 ICs from the original 4739 dual opm amps. I tried to trace the circuit . It barely passes a signal and when I turn a knob I get some sweeping effect. The LFO seems not to work. I was wondering if anyone else has built this circuit and got it working. It's the phase shifter from the Electronic Projects for musicians book, but I used the layout from General Guitar Gadgets. :icon_question:

I've checked the phase shifter PCB (EPFM schematic/GGG layout) that you're talking about, and as far as I can tell it's correct.

(I have all the parts to build - just haven't started yet).

All I can add are the obvious things to check - capacitor polarities, opto-isolator orientation, accidental solder-bridges, etc,... / and when trouble-shooting take frequent breaks.

I just finished this build using the GGG layout a couple weeks ago and it works fine. My initial problem was not connecting pads N and P together. Could this be the problem? Just didn't notice the connection on the schematic for a while. By the way, when you get it working the univibe cap values sound great to me. I don't have much experience with different phasers, but I'm very happy with it.

Good luck. Hope this helps.
