anyway to convert guitar sound into a sine wave?

pitch-to-voltage i thought. then to drive an oscillator with the voltage. possible? done before?(yes)
anyone tinkered with this?

Stephen Giles has done some work with the (quite effective) fundamental extractor circuit from the EH Microsynth  - IIRC, he's basically made a stand-alone version of it. A quick forum search should find it for you. HTH.
