Well I decided to add the univibe mods to my P-45.  I'm back to matching JFETs again.  Has anyone else had to do this?  It doesn't sound right.  When the LED comes on you can hear it's attack of the signal.  I ordered 12 5952's.  I was using MPF102's but I'm worried about when the battery gets low.  I'm not sure if I like this mod at this point.  I assume it's because the JFETs arn't matched.  If after I match fets and I still don't like it I'll have to take the mods out.  Oh well.  I was trying to avoid building a separate Univibe pedal.  Here's an interesting note : when I swapped out some TL072's it changed the mix knobs range point.  With one of the opamps I stopped getting pitch shift altogether without changing any fets. I didn't think the IC's had any effect on the sound of the phase,  just oscillation.

The phase 45 is a damn good effect for its size. Try a high-gain distortion into a phase 45 at slow speed, Ooohhhh yeaah.
I couldn't really tell what your question was, but interestingly the TL074 opamp didn't work in the Bad Stone phaser despite having the same pinout as the LM324 opamp.

Yeah RaceDriver I do know what you mean.  Before I did the Univibe mods I used it with some of my distortion effects and the sound was awesome.
I guess I don't really have a question except that I thought my fets were matched and when I did the Univibe mods it seems they arn't matched anymore.  The swooshing isn't as smooth when I dial in the phase effect.   I'm thinking I was using it without matched fets and didn't realize it.  It sounded like the sound clips I heard though.  I'm hoping to keep the Univibe mods and when I get my new fets in the mail and match them that it works out.  Otherwise I'll be building a Univibe next.  I should anyway.  It looked like an interesting build.
By the way thanks for responding.
