Mcmeat need help

I finished the wiring today. It seems to work fine but the only problem I see is that the light dims the harder I hit the strings not the other way around 
Does anyone know whats going on?

oooh nevermind got it
in one setting it goes from high to dim, the other is inverse. I had a bad ground conection
now Im funking
