Where to find mod ideas & schematics?

I can agree with learning from your mods (mistakes).  But if you didn't actually build the pedal yourself and are modding a pedal from a manufacturer it's a little harder to pick up on what your doing.  When you go through building an effect from scratch you learn more from the fact that you started from the beginning and work your way to the end and any mods in between can be understood more clearly.  I guess it's a mute point anyway since the originator never said he was going mod store bought pedals anyway.  I know if I did try modding a bought pedal I wouldn't stop until I figured it out.  Sorry for redirecting his queastion.

Man, do I get tired of reading "I want x - but I want it fast and I want it now. Spare me the stuff I don't need to know, just tell me the answer!" on this forum .... there aren't any shortcuts, it purely and simply takes and effort on your behalf to achieve what you want.
