Hey all

J201's are terribly hard to find around these here parts. I'm wondering if there is an alternative for the mil bypass to run on something a little more available...
Anyone out there know much about how this fellow works?

Is that a plastic washing basket?

Any low Vgsoff device will work I don't know where "these here parts" is so I can't look one up for you. The 2N5292 and the 2N5485 both work.

Notice that JFETs are used in the Millenium 1, MOSFETs are used in the Millenium 2.  The BSP250, BS250P (which is similar but a different device) and 2N7000 are examples of TO-92 MOSFETs that work in the Millenium 2.

Finally, the Millenium C uses a common CMOS hex inverter logic chip, which ought to be available everywhere.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
