trying to debate which of the two to build.  I'll be running it into a plexi replica, so I've got my marshall sounds right there, but I was thinking about building one of these mesas for a "best of both worlds" approach.  Downside, all the links are broken for the boogeyman, and I've only heard one soundclip of the dr. boogey on the OLcircuit website.  Can anyone repost these links, or point me to a site with these soundclips?

Also, where could I get a PCboard for the Dr. Boogie or Boogeyman.  I'd rather not have to learn to etch my own right yet.  :)

I say go with what you want asw if you were going to buy the amp.
Boogieman = low to medium gain
DR boogie + medium to high gain.

Yes, but I've never heard a Mark IIC+.  I've heard/played Dual Rectos, but Recto's have a bit too much bass for my tastes that I find cant really be dialed out too well.  If I could hear an IIC+, I'd be able to make my decision better.

I'll send you an email on the dr. boogie as well.

In a very small nutshell I'd say the MK II sounds like the recto set to low gain, or at least they are not night and day amps. Mesa have a bold and fat sound that some say lacks sparkle or openess..They roll a lot of the high freqencies off in order to make a well behaved amp. Not as touch sensitive as say a trainwreck or Vox which are wide open and on the edge or instability. Think Santana for the MKII
