I have modded my DS-1 based on some of the mods that have been reported here. When I strum my guitar (humbucker in bridge) strings lightly or not too hard, the DS-1 sounds fine. But when I hit them hard, I get a sag in the volume output.

D5 was replaced with an LED. When lightly playing it lights up. When struck hard the LED will dim.

Any ideas on what can be causing this? Here are the modded values:

C1 - .1uF
C2 - 1uF
C3 - .068uF
C5 - .1uF
C8 - 1uF
C9 - 1uF
C10 - .047uF
C11 - .047uF
C13 - .1uF
D5 - LED
R13 - 2.4k
R39 - 20k

Thanks

Try a 330K or a 220K instead of the 470k for R7. You will lose a little bit of gain and give you more dynamic.
