Can someone tell what the correct placement is for an led/resistor. Is it switch/resistor/led or led/resistor/power. ???

I'm not sure if this was the question.  Hope this helps.  Make sure the longer lead on the LED goes to plus voltage and the shorter lead goes to negative voltage.
