Today's Project was an Eclipse Valve

Today I built the Eclipse Valve with a kit from Olcircuits.

My first tube project.  The kit had everything.  It was fun to build.

It works great, and adds a big punch to my Marshall half stack.  Even at a low volume it vibrates the strings of a 12 string acoustic guitar on the other side of my basement.  It seems to increase the hardness of sound waves.    hahaha

Anyway, Mark at olcircuits was a great help.
Next I'm going to try for a delay, wiht my own etched pcboard.

I built one last month and agree: it is a fantastic sounding boost. The fact that it is all-tube makes it even more fun.

If you get the chance, try a few different 12AT7s: you can get some interesting variations.
