Question about R.G. Keen's transistor gain checker..

Hey all,

Does R.G. Keens transistor gain check thing (with the two big resistors and the 9 volt) described in the Fuzz Face article work with NPN devices in addition to PNP? Will it just give me a negative reading?

There's a paragraph about it in the article.  Simply reverse the battery polarity and reverse the multimeter test leads and it'll work for NPNs.
