Yeah, markm, you certainly know what you're doing!  Those are easily the best looking enclosures I've ever seen(just my opinion, no offence to all the other guys with good looking enclosures!). There's absolutely no doubt that your methods produce outstanding results!

Jeeze- that might sound like boot licking, but those are amazing, especially the English Channel!

 Yes, the moolon stuff is beautiful, but the pics are so cartoonishly perfect that I got the strong impression that they were photoshopped. Markm's stuff looks so good there's no need to embellish anything- they're the real deal.
Plus, we know that his are etched, but for large scale production engraving with a cnc machine might be much more efficient and produce similar results. That might be what they're doing. I'm sure that if they're milling strats and teles from aluminum they must have cnc machines.
I could be wrong about all of this...

Seemingly dumb question...I've never used PNP.
Do I laser print/copy NORMALLY on to the blue film
or do I have to INVERT the black/white areas?

ie. When you print black text or artwork on the PNP,
does that end up becoming the ETCHED areas
or the RESIST areas?

run it through a laser printer. if you don't have one print with ink and run the print through a laser photocopier.

the area that you print in black will be he resist area. so everywhere with black toner will leave some pnp blue stuck to the metal.

this will mean that you will also need to do a mirror image of your design because you'll be flipping the pnp over.
