Hi Guys,

It's been ages since I last posted on here...  Can anyone recommend any good analogue delay projects?  I want a nice simple "core" similiar sounding to a memory man, with a sound that loses a bit of top end after each echo, like a tape echo etc...  I want to add a few features of my own to it, but I'm not too hot on the theory on analogue delays.  Any help or advice would be good!

I like the AD3208 at GGG.
Real nice sounding delay but, have a large enclosure ready if you want it to fit comfortably.

I'm just waiting for my PCB (they don't let me etch at my dorm  :icon_redface:) from Tonepad, and then I'm building the Rebote 2.5.

Here's the project link:

I want to say that it's the 5pf capacitor just to the left of the dual opamp IC that cuts highs out each repeat...I remember reading that somewhere. But I may be wrong. But the point is, if you increase the size of that capacitor (or whichever one rolls off treble for each repeat), it will sound more analog-y.

You can also increase the delay time, get endless repeats, splice in an LFO for vibrato or chorus effects...there's quite a few mod out there I've been looking at.

EDIT: Silly me, couldn't that 5pf be to keep the opamp from oscillating? I wouldn't know for sure...hopefully one of the intelligent and informed people will chim in and make an ass of me. Maybe it's the 560pF off of pins 15 and 16 of the PT2399. 5pF is pretty small to be a roll-off cap, but I guess that depends on a lot of things, doesn't it?
