Hello, i found this schema at this site http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/TB.jpg
I would like to know what is the reason for the capacitor 0.04 micro that is bridging 412+412 resistors (in between colectors of Q2 and Q3)
Thank you very much

Hi Jan,

I drew that  a few years ago.  If I am not mistaken, that capacitor gives more bass.  I found the Tonebender to be quite bright and the extra low end balanced it out.

There is a pretty hefty loss of volume when tacking on a passive tone circuit.   I remember there was still enough range on the volume pot to give adequate output.  I'd be interested to know how it works for you.

If I'm not mistaken, that cap is a treble roll off, which in effect adds bass.  The 4.7uF cap can be increased up to 10 fold for added bass as well.   Crazy suggestion, but try it with BS250 P channel Mosfets.  :icon_cool:

Thank you guys for your help! I will definitely give it a try. A good idea! :)

Whoops, I dont think a Mosfet will work for Q1.  Sorry.   :icon_cool:
