In case you missed it I put my Colorsound Wah into my wifes' antique sewing machine pedal.  It works great too.  I get so much control and it sounds great.  You can see the light from the LED/LDR shining through the holes in the side.  My friend thought it was a tube glowing or something was heating up in there.

Here's a picture of the sloppy inside view of the sewing machine pedal.  There's a lever that sits in between the LED and LDR that blocks the light and when you step on the pedal the lever moves and lets light in.

this is really really cool. but how do you get good control when the led/ldr is just on or off? don't you need some kind of slower fading of the led?

Actually the light going from the LED to the LDR is adjustable by how much light you let in by how far down you push the pedal mechanism.  If you push the pedal down slightly it only uncovers some of the LDR so you only get a slight wah.  It works similar to the Morley (sort of).  So the it's not just on or off.  It works so good when my guitarist tried it he said it was just as expressive as his original Cry Baby.
I'm going to try some thrift stores and flea markets and garage sales to see if I can find other sewing machine pedals.  But like Paul from DIYguitarist.com pointed out they're all different so you have to be careful what you buy.

Cool, it's like Morley's old pedals...
