Hey again, if anyone remembers about a week ago I posted saying I was having trouble with my Dr. Boogey eating up batteries. Well I noticed something; my Dr. Boogey runs on a fresh 9v for about 1.5 to 2 hours and then starts crapping out but the battery still has enough juice to power my Ruby and my MD-2. Does that say "odd" to you guys in any way?

As the battery runs down, it changes the bias of the Jfets and the "Tone" as well.  Not sure why it would happen more quickly than usual.  Check your bias when it craps out and see how much it has changed.   :icon_cool:

could it be shorting against the enclosure?

my bsiab was doing that, the batt got pretty hot!

I dont think its shorting against the enclosure, the battery doesn't heat up at all during use. I really need to get a multimeter to see whats happening with this thing. I biased the jfets by ear, could that be the problem?

I'd suggest getting a multimeter, then you stand half a chance of finding the problem.
