Build report: Paia's headphone dist. amp

This is a headphone distribution amplifier with 6 outputs.



I didn't order the Paia kit for this one, i just used the schematic from their website and built it on perfboard. The circuit itself isn't so difficult, you just make the same simple opamp circuit 6 times. However, when it comes to offboard wiring, it's a real challenge. 12 channels of input,output and pot wires - it took lots of time soldering all those wires. And then there's the issue of fitting everything in the box, i could hardly close the lid ;D

As for how it works, it works great. The outputs can be extremely loud (after all, the circuit has a gain of 10 at the maximum volume) and the sound is clear.

Looks cool.

I have a friend that would like me to build one... but it's too much work for now.

But I would use onboard Neutrik plugs to have less offboard wiring.

Nice job though. Thanks for the idea.
