I'm having some trouble with this fuzz build. The circuit is BJF's Folk Fuzz.  Here is the schem and my layout.

This is my first layout, so it could be the culprit.  (I realize there are some mistakes, such as the lone solder pad for volume 2, which needn't be on the board.)

Problem:
Doesn't make any noise when it's on.  Tracing with an audio probe, I get a signal at input through to b of Q1.  That's it.  No signal anywhere else on the board.  When I touch the probe to c on Q1 I get a very brief scratchy noise then nothing.

No substitutions.

Here are some voltage readings:

Battery: 8.76

Q1
c  8.32
b  7.15
e  7.89

Q2
c  8.4
b  8.32
e  7.89

Q3
c  6.88
b 7.32
e  7.89

Q4
c  .35
b  7.32
e  7.83

right outta the shoot I see R9 is not connected to V+ on your layout.  That would certainly contrubute to your problem  C6...that looks suspicious too. R10 don't look right either.

R4 needs to have the now grounded end connected to junction Q1,R2,R3.

R12 needs to be connected to junction R9,C6.
Remove traceR12 to R10 and cut connection R10 from junction C2,R9,Q1.
Now connect the now free end of R10 to junctionR9,C6,R12.

All should now be OK

Good luck and have great fun

You may want to check your layout against mine in the layouts gallery.

Mine works fine so, maybe it'll help you out.
