Hi,

First of all I'd like to say a big thanks to everyone on the forum, I've been lurking for a while now and just have to say this place has been an inpiration to me. Hopefully I can give something back:-

I don't know if anyone would be interested but I've developed a template for Veroboard layouts in the bundled Appleworks software. Basically I was after something like this and couldn't find it for the Mac (maybe I just didn't look very hard) so after a bit of noodling around I have something that you can use to knock up vero layouts pretty quickly. I've also cobbled together some quick instructions to get you going.

If anybody wants this just PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you. Alternatively, if anybody wants to host it that would be great. Also, it'd be good if others would have some input and continue to develop it or let me know of any oversights....

Kind regards,

Jim

Cheers, here are a couple of images so people can see what I'm on about:-

Here's my first design using it:

And here is the blank template:

By the way please let me know if you spot any mistakes in my design, it hasn't been verified yet.  :icon_biggrin:

Hi bancika,

Yeah I like the look of your software, but I don't go near windows (and emulators) unless I have to! (which I do have to a lot at work, administering some 300+ PC's) but hey, let's not go down that road....  ;)

Don't fancy porting it over to the mac do you?

Cheers,

Jim

A much better alternative, if you know about programming, is to get a copy of realbasic, www.realsoftware.com, and translate the code into it. Once finished you can compile the app for win and mac, and distribute both in the same .sit or .zip file.
Another advantage is that you do not need to worry about the interface, realbasic does it for you. I mean a simple app can be done with 10% of the lines you'll need in C or another crude language.
That's what I did with my Fuzz Face Bias Emulator, at

mac
mac@mac-pc:~$ sudo apt install ECC83 EL84

bancika

It has more than 4000 lines of code. No way I'm translating that  :icon_mrgreen: Besides, it uses some platform/delphi dependent components...Sorry
