without sparking the whole carbon comp is great/crappy debate, I'm just curious, in the original tycos, would there have been CC resistors? I know the trannies were silicone, so I'm just wondering if they were using carbon film by then, or still carbon comp.

thanks!

The very first ones were probably carbon comp. Carbon film didn't become common until after the first tychos.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

interesting. So Silicone trannies were common before carbon FILM resistors. I would have guessed the other way around. When did the little blue guys hit the scene?

were there any Ge Tycos? Or was the Roger M, that the Tyco was based on (according to Rock n roll myths) a Ge?

best,

Matt
