Ready to build "Thor" on 15x25 hole board as seen at "Runoffgrove". Any Tips?

Hello there.  I know my package from Small Bear is waiting for me in the mailbox when I get home.   It would be great to hear from any folks that have built Thor in the fashion shown at Runoffgrove.  That is, the radio shack style 15x25 copper surrounded hole board as shown in  the closeups when you first click into "Thor".  Ive done a number of builds this way with good results, but, have not done a project using Fet stages resulting in a high gain thing.  I understand there can be a susceptibilty to noise and other things.  So, I was hoping that some of you could chime in and prepare me for classic pitfalls that may happen if certain requirments aren't met.  I assume that whoever offered that layout and approach probably did because it yielded some satisfactory results.  So, I'm all ears.  Any recomendations for this build will be appreciated and welcome.   These were some of my concerns:
1.  Which wires/connections  ought to be certainlly shielded?
2. Has anything in the layout proved to be problematic?   Has anyone found a better way?
3. Will those silver mica caps be OK in those 220pf, 470pF and 1000pF positions?  Would ceramic have been different or better?
4 Should I just Shut the *(&^  up and build the damn thing?
Thank folks.  I value your input.  I need this tone for many of the tunes I'll be playing with this summer. I just got a bunch of gigs handed to me and would really like to make this little pedal work.

Thank,
PHil

Ins and Outs - meaning jack to switch AND switch to board.  Perhaps some of the leads to your pots depending on how long they are.  make sure to only ground the shield at one end.

IMO mica will sound fine, although it is a bit overkill.  Some will tell you they don't like the sound of Micas.  I would use film caps.  I only depate ceramic vs mica when the value is under 100pf.

I don't know, probably  ;)

I built the perf version and it didn't work.  After some debugging attempts, scrapped it and built the PCB version on perf - fired right up first time.  I didn't use Micas, just ceramics for small values and films for anything over 1nF.  Sounds great, and the trimmers can take it from old school low gain Marshall to much higher gain, tho still Marshallish.  Trimmers will probably have to be tweaked depending on what guitar output, ie, humbuckers vastly different than low output singles.

Mugshot

placed a 100-ohm resistor in series with the supply power, and another 10K resistor (or 1K) before the input to rid (somehow) of RFI.
i am what i am, so are you.
