WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO     ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ive got the Vox AC-30 simulator (stephan moller) schematic

Replacements for te NE5532

Any suggestion????

Thanksssss

Try any other dual opamp, TL072/4558/whatever else your preference is...

Just make sure to double-check the pinouts. TL072 and 4558 both have the same pinout as NE5532, but I don't know about other ones. You will want to double-check if you try other dual opamps.

NE5532 is a good quality opamp, I would try to use some, available just about everywhere.
If not , most other dual's will work fine OPA2134's are also nice.

All dual opamps have the same pinout. Swap to your heart's content...

BUT

The NE5532 is kind of special in its own way, it can drive really low impedence loads so you may have tonal and/or performance differences.

I would suggest getting the NE5532 and building the circuit as shown and THEN try swapping. I know you probably just want to get it up and running BUT this is definitely one case where I would get the right chip.

Those that start off with 4558 or TL072, you can be safe in swapping them out from the get go, but this one I would do stock first...

Is that the one that was supposed to become a mass produced pedal, so the schem is incomplete? (or you had to sign a non-disclosure agreement to get the values)?

Rafa

Well
the scheamtic is complete and I did not signed any non-disclosure agreement, just talking to peolpe and searching in the internet I found it.

KerryF

Can you maybe PM me the schematic?  :)  Thanks,
Kerry

Hmm... I wonder if all the values are right. Well, if you have some time, I would like a copy too. Thanks!

Rafa

Well now that I look again I realise that there are some resistors values missing  :-[
If anyone has them or know where can I find them would be great
Rod Elliot who was very helpful on telling me were the schematic was told me to build it and experiment with differnet resistors values?
Any other ideas perhaps not so complicated, if that is the only way which value would be best to start??
I thought about 10K...
