Howdy,
I've come to that point where I'm stumped.  Is it possible to do the standard low-pass filter (cap across the pot) trick with the Boss RV-3?  If so, how will it affect the reverb function in the circuit?  Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think it'l work as both reverb and delay functions are digital.
If i were you i'd just build an analouge-a-like delay like the pt-80 or the robote 2.5, then you'd have 2 types of delay.

p.s Infact, i've been searching for an rv-3 on ebay for a long time so i can do exactly that. how much did yours cost?

rocket

There is a schematic around for th rv3.
It IS an pseudoanalog pedal. It should be possible to do the mod.

I'm actually trying to do this for a friend.  He heard my DD-3 with the hi-cut and asked for me to do that to his delay.  I told him I'd look into it.  The schematic is far too nasty for me to figure it out though.  That's why I was wondering if it was just the cap on the pot trick.  I know that Analog-Man has a RV-3 hi-cut mod, so I know it is possible.  I just don't know what to do!  Thanks for the replies so far though.  Anyone else know?

doesnt the rv-3 already have a tone control?

The tone control is for the reverb settings.  It becomes the feedback knob when in delay mode.  I'm thinking I could string a cap across that and the volume seeing as how my friend doesn't use the reverb.  Any comments?  Thanks.

are the pots actually pots? are they not optical encoders? thatd seem more likely, which means the cap over the feedback pot wont work. check it out. also, where did you get your link to the rv-3 schem?
