I have built the GGG Ross comp seen in the following linkhttp://generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/geo_d&r_comp.pdf.
It seems to cut a considerable amount of bass as compared to the bypassed sound. ( yes I have wired it with true bypass).

What should I look to change to get the bass back in my sound?

Thanks

Hi
check the values of caps in the signal path.
one might be too small.
The Ross compressor is known for cutting treble, not bass.

Did you see the notice about errors in the PDF on the GGG page?

Sounds like your having the opposite problem so might be no help.

Use the audio probe to locate where in the circuit the bass gets cut.

I did see the errors and have made corrections accordingly. I have seen alot about making/using an audio probe. I have not done that yet though.  Would that probe allow me to hear where different frequencies are cut? I just assumed it was some device that just beeped or something..

Yes, it's worth a try.
The audio probe is just an output capacitor to filter the signal in the same way the effect output cap would.
It lets you listen in on the signal at different parts in the circuit just by touching the probe to a component.
Connect the probe with your guitar amp.

If a component has big bass on one side (the input side) and less bass on the other side (output side) the probe will let you know.
