i meant nobody knows you have a jackson/charvel do they... :icon_mrgreen:

i have no idea where your booster is placed,...but..
as for the tube reamer , i would just place it just before it comes out of your jack, you can get 3pdt toggle switches
so  you can flip it on/off.true bypass with led too...and wire like a pedal...this should be ok...i think.

of course you will have to have another 2 pots for it though!!!..for the  reamers drive and volume..!!!!!!!!!..

try it without fitting it first...before you drill holes etc..and see if you like it first!!!!....

at the end of the day, it would be easier and quicker and less destructive to your guitar to just build the pedal version though!.
especially as you want to do it in 2 days.. :icon_mrgreen:

never dealt with boosters in guitars though!..so i dont know where in the circuit it would be ok. rob.

Your guitar's booster circuit will have connections for input, output, power and ground.

The Tube Reamer has connections for input, output, power and ground.

If you can't work out how to swap one for the other, don't attempt it. Especially with a gig on Friday. Slow down and learn more.
Bringing you yesterday's technology tomorrow.

if you dont have basic knowledge about electronics i would suggest you dont do it... i know some dude tries that, ended up with a dead guitar and a leaking 9v battery inside it... he has to pay to get it fixed and by fixed, i mean no booster inside, just the pickup wiring.
Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.

I have a 1992 Jackson Stealth Pro that had the Jackson mid-boost system in it. If this is what you're talking about replacing, it's actually a circuit board mounted directly to the pot inside the cavity. You'd have to completely change the whole thing out.

I changed mine to an EMG system and got the EMG booster - one flick of a switch and bam - 20db of boost at my fingertips.

But I will also say, the Jackson mid-boost system was a nice system...

Guitartoma! youre right.. i think we have the same system with your "jackson stealth" but my is not just mid boost.. it has little overdrive "not soft" i think "distortion like" i can choose mid, treble and bass boost.. and also combine the three. if i take the battery off, the pick up is inactive so the pickup is active also?
