Well my mate actually bought one and he let me have a look inside. I wish i had a camera at the moment so I could show you all.

I took the bottom off, four screws, no worries. Then inside i realised that these things are build SOLID. first of all, the jacks, pots, and switch are all pcb mounted so you can't get a look at the components without completely gutting the thing. from what I saw on the copper side there was quite a small component count, but i'm pretty sure it has a pt2399 in it. What else... oh the switch isn't 3pdt at all, it's not even dpdt, I dont know anything about switches but the footswitch mechanism was connected by a spring and a little rod inside it to the actual switch which was mounted on the pcb and it only had four pins and i'm guessing it isnt true bypass.

I tried so hard to get the nut on the switch undone so i could get a good look at the guts of it but I just couldnt get it.

Like it or not that build was the cleanest i've ever seen, maybe because it was done with machine precision, i dont know, but what I do know is that the only wires were for the battery clip.

so  yeah...
