help debugging BYOC EA trem

anyone built this circuit? i think it did everything right (well, obviously not). no circuit single, no LED light-up, no bypassed signal, but plenty of pops and scratches when poking around and crossing wires and stuff. any help appreciated.

make sure your switch is oriented the correct way...in fact go back over all parts for orientation and correct location... next I'd check the solder joints...
