Well I'm playing around with a BD-2 and some of Keeley's mods and installed the Phat Switch (to switch a .068 cap in parallel with the .033 cap I replaced in the tone section) which supposedly adds more bottom end ... looking at the schematic it should, or at least shift the tone control more to the low side. It just seems very subtle. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. It doesn't seem worth putting the switch in.

anyone ?

It's there ... but quite subtle, just "chug" a low E string and switch it .... you'll spot it.
On mine, I just went for a straight 68n for C100 ( on the small tone pot board )
That does it for me :D

Noticeable bandwidth changes are always a function of what you play and what you listen through.  If people played most of their "thrilling" notes on the low E and A instead of above the 5th fret on the top 3 strings, the Tube Screamer would have had a different bass rolloff years ago.  If more people played clean SC pickups through clean amps with crisp responsive 10" speakers, exciter pedals would be far more marketable than they are.

Bet if you played a baritone guitar you would say the "phat" mod was amazing.

thanks guys ... just wanted to verify :)

I thought I was hearing something but wanted to make sure I wasn't "tricking" myself into hearing something ;)
