HI

is there anyway to put some resistors in series/llel witha linear pot to get an anti-log response curve? or seomthing even close?

R.G.

Read GEO. (http://www.geofex.com)

Preferably all of it, but in this case, "The Secret Life of Pots".

You'll find lots of pertinent information there.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

hm ok i think this has me close. what i am trying to do is make a series resitor that at ccw is max R then decreases rapidly at first towards R min then slows down through the  last half.

sort of the opposite response to your graph in the mentioned article "reverse log series resistor"

i am trying to make a smooth control for a constant current source.
