So i have painted my pedals thoroughly but i notice there are some slight streaks.. can I use 600 grit sandpaper to polish/buf the surface to make it smooth before clear coating and doing the same if it happens again? Will it ruin the paint job any? Or will it do nothing at all.. This is a first time thing for me so i am open to suggestions..

Thanks.

Streaks in color, or streaks in texture? Like sags or runs?

600 grit is a bit heavy to be doing this. Try 800 or 1000 grit. Wrap the sandpaper around a block of stiff styrofoam, dip it in some water, & start sanding. Your paint will go from glossy to very dull, but it will also be very smooth. If you find that you sand through the color, simply spray another couple of wet coats. After the sanding, you will find that the next coats will lay down smooth. If you didn't sand through the color, then move on to clear.
