Tell me about the various Shaka projects .......

I'm wondering why these designs are not seen around that much anymore. I've been checking all the different variations and I will perf some of them.

Shaka Braddah III
Shaka express
Shaka HV

Anybody has built any? how do they sound? unfortunately, all the sound samples are down...... but the circuits look very interesting.

Shaka Braddah III - I still use mine. Over the years I have modded it, but I still like the original.
Shaka express - I still use this pedal for hi-gain stuff. It's very raw and powerful sounding.
Shaka HV - This pedal is very simple and yields very good low to medium overdrive. I used an LM317 to vary the voltage from 18V all the way down < 9V. Very cool and fun. I used the chassis as the heat sink. There are many mods you can do to the Shaka HV.
