volume pedal

hi ,
i never have a volume pedal and  i'm looking to build one, i find this schematic at http://www.morleypedals.com/xvoes.pdf
and realize it's just a pot...
so can i use a 100k instead of 50k, cause small bear only have 100k and 200k....

and does anyone have a schematic for this http://www.visualsound.net/Pedal_vv.htm it's really a cool pedal....
